Who We Are
The Way began in 2023 with a simple purpose: to preach the good news of Jesus at a weekly bible study in a small Villa in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Every Saturday, with the help of some local volunteers, we meet on Zoom, led by founders Nathan and Fabiana Krey, from Steamboat Springs, Colorado (USA). The Way borrows space at a local center three weeks out of the month and meets outside, weather permitting, the other week. We are asking God to provide a permanent meeting space of our own as our group has outgrown the current space.
Our Story
Nathan was a “prodigal son” who repented and decided to follow Jesus, after the loss of a daughter. His parents never gave up on him, always praying, and now they are monthly supporters of The Way. Nathan has the gift of mercy and loves to teach young people to study the bible. He enjoys downhill skiing, playing guitar and singing.
Fabi was lost for many years in false religions like Kabbalah, Feng Shui, Reiki, Tarot cards and spiritism. But God, who is rich in mercy and does not desire anyone to perish, opened her eyes to the truth and drew her to saving faith in Jesus. She now reads her bible daily and loves to encourage young people to seek God’s kingdom first. Porto Alegre is Fabi’s hometown. Her mother and brother live in Porto Alegre, and play and important part in The Way, setting up the meeting, helping Fabi translate English to Portuguese and preparing lunch.

Our Dream for the Future
Nathan and Fabiana feel called to develop this ministry in Brazil and would like to serve at The Way in person and full time, God willing.
The vision for this project is a work in progress and includes a permanent meeting space in the Villa and eventually a youth retreat outside of the Villa where kids can study God’s word, learn English, learn new skills, play sports, swim, sing together and play games. This kind of retreat would bring positive generational change to many young people and their families.
We believe that God loved us enough to send His only Begotten Son to suffer and die on a rugged cross for our sins and that on the third day, He rose from the dead, proving that Jesus is God, with saving power over death and hell. Scripture tells us we must be born again…born of Spirit, and to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus, loving and serving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We encourage kids of The Way to read their bibles and memorize scripture weekly. For over two years, we have all been learning to fellowship, love, serve and pray for each other.
The Way is a tool that God is using to bless young people in Porto Alegre. We are committed to preach the gospel every week and to help each young person reach their God given potential. Can see our vision for the future and our heart to serve the youth in Porto Alegre, Brazil?
The Way is growing fast! We need your help right now to purchase new bibles, new journals, screens and sound equipment to handle a Zoom bible study with 50 kids. Pray about your part in this. We would love to answer any questions you have. Some plant seeds, others water, but God gives the increase. We can all work together to share the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
Soon, The Way would like to purchase a permanent meeting space in the Villa and a retreat property outside the Villa. The retreat will have cabins, a sports field, a dining hall, chapel, classrooms and a passenger bus to transport kids to and from the retreat.
